The story
Emerald and gold, in the smallest possible pattern: a dense boteh paisley woven in gold across an emerald ground, so that from a step back the whole cloth shimmers as one colour. The neckline and front opening are bound in plain emerald satin, a rare restraint, and the length stops at mid-calf. It was photographed against the mosaic fountain of the medina, where it held its own.
