The story
Moonlight on cloth. The brocade is champagne, figured all over with a paisley that catches light in silver, so the caftan changes as its wearer turns. A narrow gold sfifa braid edges the neckline and runs down the front opening to the hem, where it turns to follow the curve of the slit. It is the piece we photographed against the zellige of the old medina, and the one people ask about first.
