The story
Lavender, with violet flowers and yellow buds, on a sheer ground striped with gold lamé. The binding is a plain violet satin, and it runs the full edge of the caftan: neckline, front, hem and cuffs. Open over black, as photographed, it is a long transparent coat with gold in it; it can also be closed, and worn over a lavender or ivory slip.
